Overview
Sacred Balance is a pair of original watercolor artworks depicting Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi, created for a private office space. The commission was guided by clear spiritual intent — to bring calm, clarity, and prosperity into a space of daily work and decision-making.
Concept & Approach
The client shared specific reference images for both deities, with precise instructions to retain their form and symbolism. My role was to translate these references into hand-drawn, detailed artworks while maintaining reverence, proportion, and quiet strength.
Each figure was carefully sketched, outlined, and refined to preserve its sacred presence without excessive ornamentation.
Artistic Process
The artworks were developed through a layered, intentional process. After completing the detailed line work, each deity was neatly cut and mounted, allowing the figures to stand distinct from their backgrounds.
The backgrounds were built using soft watercolor washes, with color choices aligned to Vastu principles. Arched frames were introduced to create a sense of sanctum and balance, while subtle floral line work around the borders added a gentle ornamental rhythm without overpowering the central forms.
